Electrolux unveils new brand identity
Electrolux – manufacturer of home and professional appliances such as hoovers and ovens, has unveiled it’s new brand identity. Being a globally recognised brand, a rebrand can sometimes make or break a company’s fortunes. Having been around since 1909 it was vital for Electrolux that any rebrand remained distinctive, true to it’s roots and didn’t alienate it’s existing customer base.
Although only subtle changes have been made, we think that the rebrand has worked really well. Keeping the logo mark intact, which is globally recognised and distinctive is a great move (think of Nike, Coca-Cola and McDonald’s who all do the same.) The change of typeface to a more modern, cleaner and fresh font brings the brand in line with modern trends and technology, obviously something very important for any manufacturer in this industry.
